Here's a fun wine for summertime sipping. The Massolino 2021 Moscato d'Asti is fragrant and fresh with jasmine, honey, wild sage and chalk. The wine's sweetness falls smoothly over the palate, and a touch of acidity keeps things lively. The alcohol content is only 5%. This is a production of 35,000 bottles.

The Massolino 2019 Moscato d'Asti is packaged with a real cork and the elegant label design that is a signature of this terrific boutique winery in Serralunga d'Alba. The wine pours from the bottle with extra soft, rich foam that lasts long and clings to the sides of your glass. The bouquet is delicate and elegant, with stone fruit and lemon blossom, but it's minus some of the more overt saccharine perfumes that you see in its more commercial peers. This wine is beautifully downplayed and subtle, with hints of white mineral and wild sage. Some 35,000 bottles were produced.

Luminous in appearance, the 2018 Moscato d'Asti breathes a bouquet of sage, honey, yellow fruit and white flowers. Massolino uses little autoclaves on site at the winery in Serralunga d'Alba to make their Moscato, which they have been producing since 1991. Initially, they had sold the grapes before deciding to make their sweet sparkler. Some 35,000 bottles of this vintage were made. It would pair nicely with a homemade peach pie.
