The 2020 Dolcetto d'Alba is an open-knit and generous wine with lots of dark fruit, cherry and sweet blackberry. The wine is easy but filling, thanks to the natural richness of the Dolcetto grape. It's simple but also pleasing at this value price point. Some 30,000 bottles were made.

The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba focuses tightly on raw fruit, with forest berries and redcurrants. There are some secondary notes of bramble and rosemary essence, and you might pick up a subtle tone of crushed stone or aspirin. In all, this is a classic, albeit informal expression of Dolcetto to pair with an antipasto misto with cold cuts and local cheeses.
