Packaged in the estate's distinctive tall bottle, the Marchesi di Barolo 2018 Barbera d'Alba Peiragal boasts lots of primary fruit that is fresh, crisp and easy in a way that makes it a good candidate for focaccia topped with aged cheese and salami. Like some of the other Barberas from the cooler 2018 vintage, the wine is thinner and shorter compared to the warmer years (that, all said and done, align closely with this variety). There is a touch of sour cherry over the lean-bodied finish. An ample 45,000 bottles were released.
