Vanilla and baking spices are accented by blueberries and cherries in the 2015 Shiraz. It's medium to full-bodied, with ripe fruit, supple tannins and perhaps just a bit too much acid on the tart, clipped finish. Drink it over the next few years.

Medium to deep garnet/purple, the 2013 Shiraz has a very spicy nose showing cloves, Chinese five spice, menthol and chocolate over a core of mulberries, warm plums and black cherry preserves. Medium to full-bodied, it has toasty and oaky flavors with hints of vanilla and chocolate, velvety tannins and a long finish.

With a deep garnet color, the 2010 Shiraz is scented of warm blackberries and kirsch with touches of Chinese five spice, cardamom, vanilla and cedar plus a whiff of mocha. Full-bodied, rich, softly tannic and seductive in the mouth, it has a great acid line and a long finish. Drink it now to 2019+. Majella does not currently have a USA importer.

Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Shiraz offers intense aromas of black cherries and warm blueberries plus hints of vanilla, baking spices, anise and dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied and richly fruited, it has rounded tannins, crisp acidity and a long spicy finish. Drink it now to 2019. Catching-up with owner Brian Lynn recently, in addition to his current releases I tasted through verticals of Majella's Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and The Malleea to track the evolution of the styles. The results go to show, it certainly pays to put a few bottles of these well constructed wines away. Majella does not currently have a US importer.
