One of the house's finest communal wines this year, the 2017 Vosne-Romanée Vieilles Vignes opens in the glass with aromas of sweet berry fruit and a deft framing of oak. Medium to full-bodied, textural and fleshy, its ample core of fruit is structured around powdery tannins.

Refined and reserved, this is shy on the nose, yet features a hard edge to the floral, berry, spice and mineral flavors. Difficult to see where this is headed, yet the finish is long and saturated.
