Barrel fermented in French oak (30% new) but with malolactic fermentation blocked, Keenan's 2021 Chardonnay offers up aromas of cinnamon-dusted toast, yellow plum and lime. In the mouth, it's medium-bodied, quite linear and direct, without much flesh yet vibrant and refreshing, with a lick of wet stone on the finish.

The 2019 Chardonnay starts off with subtle notes of lemon drops and white peaches, giving way to scents of baking bread and honeydew melon. The medium to full-bodied palate has a pleasant oiliness to the texture and great freshness, lifting the stone fruit and citrus layers with a clean, lively finish.

The 2018 Chardonnay features notions of applesauce, honeydew melons and warm apricots with touches of brioche, chopped almonds and cedar. Medium-bodied, the palate has a refreshing line lifting the toasty/savory flavors, finishing on a fruity note.

The 2017 Chardonnay gives fragrant jasmine, honeysuckle, white peaches and clotted cream on the nose with an almond croissant and beeswax undercurrent. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant, fresh and satiny textured with a long and fragrant finish.

Keenan’s 2015 Chardonnay from Spring Mountain displays plenty of minerality, some citrus oil, and hints of tropical fruit and tangerine. It is medium to full-bodied , has intense flavors, great acid, and a long, clean, pure finish that lasts a good 30+ seconds. This is a beautiful Chardonnay to drink over the next 4-5 years.
