Fattoria del Cerro is known for its well-made and consistent wines across the board. The 2016 Chianti Colli Senesi is a base wine with lots of bold personality. The wine is redolent of dark cherry and pressed blackberry. It also shows chewy flavors of spice and candied almond. The wine is short in terms of mouthfeel, but it does offer fleshy fruit fiber. Some 160,000 bottles were produced.

The 2015 Chianti Colli Senesi is extra plump and ripe. This wine shows a bold charge of black cherry sweetness and opulence. The effect is simple and mostly based on all that cherry-like character. But you are also treated to soft tones of baking spice and powdered mocha at the back. This is a warm and exuberant wine that will appeal to those who love soft, juicy and ripe red wines from Tuscany.
