    The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois has turned out beautifully, bursting with aromas of cherries, sweet red berries, licorice, orange zest and petals. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with melting tannins and succulent acids, it's a suave, seamless wine that concludes with a long, perfumed finish.

    Revisited in bottle, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois is showing brilliantly, bursting with aromas of sweet red berries, rose petals, orange rind and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, ample and perfumed, it's bright and vibrant, with lively acids and a long, saline finish. At only 13% alcohol, it's also impeccably balanced.

    Bursting with aromas of raspberries, cherries, cassis and violets, the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois is medium to full-bodied, layered and succulent, with fine concentration, lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, perfumed finish. From a small triangle of this village lieu-dit that sits between Griotte-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin, this parcel was planted between 1922 and 1956.     From a parcel contiguous with Duroché's tiny holding of Griotte-Chambertin, the 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois offers up notions of dark fruits, cherries, rich soil and raw cocoa. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with tangy acids, bright fruit tones and superb length on the fragrant finish.
