The ripe but cool and equally restrained scents of cherries, red and blue pinot fruit, spice elements and earth hints are trimmed in just enough wood to remark upon. There is really lovely purity of expression to the intense, delineated and vibrant medium weight flavors that culminate in a balanced and strikingly long finish. Like the Taillepieds I very much like the focus and controlled power this displays. In a word, lovely.

An ultra-fresh nose exhibits the cool essence of red berries and earth that is trimmed in just enough wood influence to notice. There is terrific punch and delineation to the textured and seductive medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a balanced, saline and linear finish and this will need a few years to flesh out and add weight.

This is almost as elegant as the Taillepieds with its pure red pinot fruit nose that exhibits additional breadth in the form of spice and soft earth hints. There is a beguiling texture to the discreetly mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that culminate in a delicious, balanced and saline finish. In a word, lovely.
