The 2009 Pinot Noir Mountain Terroir offers up earthy minerals, wood smoke, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry. More structured than the Reserve cuvee, this lengthy effort is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and deliver optimum drinking through 2019. Cooper Mountain Vineyards is a biodynamically certified winery whose first vineyards were planted in 1978 with the first vintage released in 1987. By 1999 the vineyards were being farmed with organic and biodynamic principles with Demeter certification that same year. The wines are entirely produced from estate-grown fruit with native ferments.
