The Col Vetoraz 2021 Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry is creamy and soft with sweet peach and melon. The wine's residual sugar is recorded at 24 grams per liter, and that's definitely high enough to register as a "medium dry" or "almost fully sweet" sparkling wine. However, that softness is what makes Cartizze so special and sensual with creamy beading and immediate aromas. Production is limited to 6,508 bottles.

This wine is a bright star in a large sea of commercial Prosecco that floods foreign markets. You should look out for Col Vetoraz. Their 2017 Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry is spectacular. The bouquet offers fragrant tones of white peach, crushed oyster shell and garden rose. The effect is lovely. This Cartizze sparkler tickles the palate with soft and foamy effervescence. There is soothing sweetness on the delicate and elegant finish. Some 39,000 bottles were made. This is a great value offering.

Col Vetoraz hits the nail on the Cartizze head. This is a fragrant, crisp and very expressive wine. The 2016 Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry offers hints of jasmine, honey and sweet sage leaf. It also delivers that characteristic mineral note of flint or crushed oyster shell that reminds you of its Cartizze pedigree. The mouthfeel is ample, generous and very soft. This is a lovely but informal sparkling wine.

The 2010 Valdobbiadene Cartizze Superiore is a gorgeous wine that reconciles the forward, attractive qualities that make Prosecco so appealing, but with plenty of underlying minerality and energy.
