A light, fluid, diluted personality displays hints of pleasant strawberry and cherry fruit, but lots of herbal characteristics as well as a short, angular finish.Even though this American-owned estate has Michel Rolland as a consultant, it still seems to be stuck in the throes of mediocrity.

A good effort from this American-owned estate, the 2011 Pomeaux exhibits abundant quantities of raspberry and black cherry fruit intertwined with hints of vanillin and caramel. Pure, with good density and medium body, it is best consumed over the next 7-10 years.

Intense aromas of spice, black fruit, oak, flowers and Port. A serious palate with hefty oak but has fruit to match. Voluptuously textured with velvety, fragrant fruit, lovely purity and underlyirg freshness. Long term. Very good. Drink: 2014-2022. Alcl: 14.5%. (17.17 points)

Very attractive, lush nose of toast, blackberry, cherry, damsons and oaky aromas. Very rich, fleshy and cocentrated - pulls out all the stops and is effortful and impressive. Burly, spicy, vigorous and long. Alc: 13%.

A touch fluid along the edges, but showing good fleshy plum and fig fruit. A lacing of tobacco marks the finish. Solid for the vintage. Drink now. 290 cases made. -JM
