Offering up aromas of ripe cherries, spices, licorice and new oak, the 2022 Fayat is medium to full-bodied, rich and rather extracted, with chewy structuring tannins but reasonable freshness for the vintage. It's a creditable but somewhat chunky wine from this morcellated property in the vicinity of Libourne.

An impressive effort, the 2021 Fayat is medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, evocative of sweet, plummy fruit and rose petals.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2020 Fayat charges out of the gate with notes of crushed blueberries, juicy black plums, Indian spices and licorice with hints of kirsch, bouquet garni and black truffles. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of ripe black fruits, framed by rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with lingering notes of exotic spices.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Fayat is a little closed to begin, offering subtle notes of baked black cherries, mulberries and stewed plums with emerging hints of dusty soil, sautéed herbs and black truffles with a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a solid, well-constructed frame of firm, ripe tannins and seamless freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing earthy.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Fayat offers notes of damp soil, mushrooms and tobacco leaf over a vague core of plums and fruitcake. The medium-bodied palate is a little hollow and flat with simple black fruit flavors and a chewy finish.
