The 2019 Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles is dense, powerful and ripe, full-bodied and with notes of ripe berries, graphite and earth. This is a ripe vintage, despite having similar alcohol levels as other vintages. There are plenty of tannins that might need a little bit of time to resolve. 1,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021.

The 2018 Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles, a classical selection of very old vines, is a wine that year after year shows good regularity and showcases the style of Priorat, powerful but also balanced and elegant. The tannins and mouthfeel are quite elegant, and the wine shows very good overall balance. Tasting it next to the 2019, I preferred the elegance of this 2018. 5,000 bottles were filled in June 2020.

The 2017 Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles is a blend of 55% old-vine Cari?ena and 45% old-vine Garnacha matured in new French oak barrels for 16 months. It has ripe black fruit, Mediterranean aromatic herbs and generous spice and smoke with a note of graphite. All of these reds reach 15% alcohol and are powerful and full-bodied, built to last. The warmer vintages tend to have a softer texture and mellow acidity with round tannins and a long, lingering finish. This matured in brand new French oak barrels for 16 months, and it's oaky but not in excess. 4,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2019.
