The 2007 Pinot Noir spent 14 months in French oak. Medium ruby-colored with a slightly brick rim, it displays an alluring perfume of toast, earth notes, raspberry, and cherry. Silky on the palate with a bit of underlying tannin and plenty of sweet fruit, this concentrated Pinot Noir will evolve for another 1-2 years and drink well through 2015. The 2006 Pinot Noir was aged in seasoned oak for 16 months. Medium ruby-colored, it offers a smoky, cherry, cranberry, and raspberry bouquet. Velvety-textured, nicely concentrated and well-balanced despite 15% alcohol, it has a trace of tannin in the finish. The Mariflor winemakers are Marcelo Pelleriti and Michel Rolland. The Pinot Noir grapes were sourced from a 10 acre parcel in Vista Flores in Mendoza. The wine was aged for 14 months in new French oak. The 2005 Pinot Noir is medium ruby-colored with a toasty, Burgundian-styled aromatic profile with some earthiness as well as raspberry, strawberry, and rhubarb fruit scents. Smooth textured and silky, the wine has a firm mid-palate and an elegant personality. It should drink well for 6-8 years.
