The Mariflor winemakers are Marcelo Pelleriti and Michel Rolland. The Pinot Noir grapes were sourced from a 10 acre parcel in Vista Flores in Mendoza. The wine was aged for 14 months in new French oak. The 2005 Pinot Noir is medium ruby-colored with a toasty, Burgundian-styled aromatic profile with some earthiness as well as raspberry, strawberry, and rhubarb fruit scents. Smooth textured and silky, the wine has a firm mid-palate and an elegant personality. It should drink well for 6-8 years.
