The 2012 Riesling CO is clear, fresh and pure on the nose but powerful and mineral on the palate. It is a fruit-intense Riesling with ripe peach flavors, good grip and a tensioned finish. Surprisingly, it is less creamy than Rothenberg, although it is sourced from limestone soils. Tasted April 2015.

The 2011 Riesling CO is clear on the nose and shows ultraripe fruit flavors. Powerful, rich and intense on the palate, this is a very elegant, complex and tensioned Riesling with intense fruit but a saturating finish. Tasted April 2015.

The 2010 Riesling CO has a clear bouquet with overripe fruit aromas. This Riesling is from a late-ripening vintage that resulted in concentrated grapes with high acidity levels. On the palate, this is pure but intense, and the finish is pretty harsh and drying. Less skin contact prior to the pressing would perhaps have resulted in a more delicate and balanced result? The 2009 Riesling CO indicates ultraripe and overripe fruit on the clear nose where lychee aromas and rose petal flavors are displayed. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate, this is a very rich, intense and powerful but well-structured dry Riesling. Not very stimulating, though, and a bit drying. Tasted April 2015.

The 2008 Riesling CO opens with very ripe peach aromas on the nose. It is an extremely powerful and firmly structured Riesling but also juicy with ripe stone fruit flavors. A very ambitious wine. Tasted April 2015.
