Instead, go for the 2012 Colome Torrontes. It has a very similar bouquet to the 2011, although the palate is much fresher and vibrant with subtle Conference pear and bruised apple notes towards the finish. It is simple, but refreshing. Drink now. Bodegas Colome is one of the oldest wineries in Argentina, founded in 1831 in Salta, in the north of Argentina and subsequently sold to the Hess Group in 2001. Here we find some of the highest vineyards in the world, between 2,300 and 3,111-metres above sea-level.
