The 2010 Rosso di Montepulciano is a very pretty wine laced with bright red cherries and flowers. This vinous, inviting Rosso is best enjoyed over the next 2-3 years, while the fruit retains its freshness and energy. The 2010 is a fabulous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014. I prefer the simpler wines in the Nottola lineup this year. As is often the case, there is a tendency to overdo the top wine, and that is certainly the case with the Riserva Fattore.
