An attractive entry-level offering, Martini’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with exuberant dark fruit, cola, spices, new leather and licorice. Radiant and inviting, the 2009 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next few years. Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is rarely inexpensive. This is about as good as it gets for the money. There are just over 62,000 cases of the wine, which means the 2009 will also be relatively easy to find. The blend is 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Petite Sirah, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017.
