(15% alcohol): Bright dark ruby. Aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice are complemented by a very ripe dark chocolate element. Plush and thick but magically weightless, with harmonious acidity framing the wine's dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors. Faint hints of menthol and herbs contribute mid-palate lift. Finishes very subtle and long, with refined tannins. Perhaps a bit sweeter and more exotic than the Rebón Vineyard Malbec but has plenty of structure to support further improvement in bottle.
