The estate’s 2006 Anas-cetta is a unique white made from an indigenous variety believed to be related to Vermentino, which is found in the central and southern regions of Italy. This medium-bodied yet crisp white is loaded with ripe apricots, flowers and honey, and is sure to provide pleasurable drinking over the next two to three years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2009.
Cogno is another one of those properties that always seems to fly below most people’s radar screens, which is unfortunate because the wines are consistently excellent.
