The big, brawny, saturated ruby/purple-colored 2000 Syrah Hudson Vineyard offers notes of smoky oak, earth, and black fruits. Although fleshy, with an enticing, textured, chewy mid-palate as well as considerable volume, high tannin in the finish may prove troublesome in 4-5 years.
