Revealing an elegant, clipped, monochromatic style, the 2000 Syrah Vogelzang Vineyard exhibits more red than black fruits along with pepper and clove characteristics. Decently made as well as fairly priced, it will drink well for 2-4 years. Tel. (805) 686-8999

Very similar in flavor and texture to the much more expensive Crossroads bottling, but much thinner and less ripe. Marked by tobacco and pepper flavors and tart acids.
