Correggia’s 2004 Le Marne Grigie stands apart from the rest of the line-up in its more international style. An inky purple, it reveals masses of cassis, herbs, black cherry jam, smoke and licorice in a sweet, unctuous style. Soft-textured and approachable, yet with elegant supporting tannins, this beautiful wine is ready to go now and should drink well to age 12 or so.
