The 2003 Grand Reserve Merlot (75% Sonoma and 25% Napa fruit) is 100% Merlot aged 19 months in French oak, of which 33% was new. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet, concentrated, chewy mid-palate revealing notions of mocha, underbrush, and a pleasant resiny note.
