One of Napa's premier under-achievers may be lightening up on the acid adjustments given the performance of this 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon. Sadly, I was not able to taste any of the other Freemark Abbey offerings, including their highly regarded Bosche Vineyard Cabernet. The regular Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive dark ruby-colored wine with an earthy, underbrush, plum, and currant-scented nose. Young, tight and firmly tannic, but the core of Cabernet flavor is ripe and juicy, with hints of currant, black cherry, leather, sage and tar. Finishes with a complex aftertaste that echoes the flavors. Best after 2000. 10,000 cases made.??–null??Region: California / Napa / Napa Valley Select to Add
