From a single vineyard planted in 1988 in the Tarrawarra sub-region, the 2010 Tarraford Vineyard Pinot Noir underwent wild fermentation in small open top fermenters with no whole bunches and was matured 11 months in new (30%) and old French oak (barriques 75%, puncheons 25%). Medium ruby-purple colored, it has moderately pronounced aromas of ripe cherries and warm raspberries with an undercurrent of nutmeg, toast and milk chocolate. Light to medium bodied, it has moderate fruit concentration with a medium-high level of balanced acid and low to medium grainy tannins, finish long and a little earthy. Drink it now to 2015.
