Intense and complex, with earthy berry and currant flavors, shaded by mint and bay leaf. Turns dry and austere on the finish, with a pleasant earthy aftertaste. Needs cellar time. Best from 2010 through 2016. 2,500 cases made. -JL

Notably peppery and spicy, this is firm, concentrated and well-structured. Tight and compact, it's a long way from its drinking peak as it needs to soften. I like the intensity and focus, but this is very young and raw. Best from 2011 through 2016. 764 cases made. -JL
