The 2019 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett is very clear and aromatic on the flinty, precise yet still reductive nose that indicates a classic Mosel style. Round and lush on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, sweet and fruity Kabinett with almost 50 grams of residual sugar and stimulating mineral acidity and slatey grip. Excellent but not my taste; this is still too dominant in its sweetness. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

The 2018 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett offers a clear and delicately flinty bouquet with bright and concentrated fruit and crunchy slate aromas. Round and juicy on the palate, this is a delicate and frisky Kabinett with deliciously charming and lithe fruit, mineral drive and salinity on the stimulating finish. This gently sweet Riesling is irresistibly light and gracile. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

The 2017 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett is fine and intense on the clear, elegant and floral-flinty nose. Lush and salty-piquant on the crystalline palate, this is a mouth-filling and textured Kabinett that probably includes some percentage of botrytis berries, which give it juicy, charming and mouth-filling character. The sweetness is round and fruity rather than sweet. It's lovely to enjoy today, yet I'd recommend cellaring the 2017 for another 5-10 years. Tasted from AP 13 18 in March 2019.

The 2016 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett Shows a clear and crystalline bouquet of ripe, intense, perfectly healthy fruit aromas. Lush, sweet and intense, with delicate acidity and serious mineral grip, this is a juicy-piquant, almost mouth-filling Kabinett with a stimulatingly salty finish. Tasted March 2018.
