The 2021 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard is big and powerful, with an opaque ruby-black color and aromas of dark cherries, tobacco, milk chocolate, menthol and graphite, and it has a full-bodied palate packed with grainy tannins and mineral-driven fruit. This classy Napa Zinfandel will require 3-5 more years to unwind in bottle.

The 2019 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard offers lovely top notes of floral perfume on the nose, with spicy red and black berries and a pure waft of aniseed. The palate is medium-bodied, soft, fresh and juicy with a long, floral-laced finish. It hints at more to come and will benefit from another year or two in bottle. 520 cases produced.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2018 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard takes some time in the glass to reveal its aromatics, offering hints of tar, dried violets, turned earth and aniseed over red and black berry fruits. Medium-bodied, the palate is offering a touch more, with stone fruit nuances and bright freshness. It has a soft, rounded frame and finishes long and spicy.

The Heminway vineyard is located at an elevation of 1,700 feet north of Pritchard Hill. Very deep ruby-black in color, the 2017 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard is scented of roasted duck and fried herbs with hints of turned earth, black pepper and spice with a core of savory black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, it features savory/earthy black fruit in the mouth, with grainy tannins and good freshness, finishing long and meaty. 525 cases produced.

Wafting from the glass with a perfumed bouquet of cassis, wild berries and dried flowers, the 2016 Zinfandel Heminway Vineyard is full-bodied, ample and juicy, with fine-grained but firm structuring tannins, a broad, expansive attack and a sweet core of fruit, with nice underlying energy that tempers its unctuosity.
