Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Mourvedre displays earthy notes of damp loam and moss covered tree bark over a core of warm blackberries and cassis with a hint of menthol. Full bodied with plenty of expressive black fruit and earthy flavors, it has an approachable backbone of medium level chewy tannins and crisp acid, finishing long. Drink this one now to 2015.
