Fermented in neutral puncheons and foudres and stirred monthly during aging, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard charges out of the glass with bold notes of ripe peaches, pink grapefruit and passion fruit with hints of struck match and lemongrass plus a waft of elderflower. Medium-bodied, the palate packs a wallop, delivering bags of citrus flavors and a lively backbone, finishing long and zesty. 250 cases were made.

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard is intensely scented of lime leaves, lemongrass, wild sage and pineapple with hints of peach blossoms and wet pebbles. Medium-bodied, zesty and elegantly played, it has a wonderfully minerally character coming through on the long finish. 327 cases produced.

The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard opens with compelling citrus notes of grapefruit, yuzu and lemon zest with touches of baking bread, wild thyme and crushed rocks. Crisp and medium-bodied with a silky texture, it gives loads of citrus layers and a minerally undercurrent with a long zesty finish. 323 cases produced.

The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora Point Vineyard opens with green apple, white grapefruit and lemon peel notes with touches of elderflower and orange blossoms. Medium-bodied with a lovely slight silkiness to the texture and plenty of zip, it has a great citrus fruit core, finishing long and invigorating. 375 cases produced.

The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Aurora is full of attractive melon, fig and pear notes. It shows considerable textural richness and depth, partly from the aging in neutral puncheons. I especially like the volume and depth here. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. Winemaker Graham Weerts has fashioned a stunning set of wines at Stonestreet. The Chardonnays are all fermented with native yeasts and are aged in French oak barrels, typically 50% new except where noted. The Cabernets are all 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Mountain Estate. Weerts gives the Cabernets 18 months in French oak barrels, 40-90% new.Tel. (800) 355-8008
