The 2005 Zinfandel has a slightly deeper color but not the exotic fleshiness of the 2004. It is a leaner, more elegant style in 2005. It is probably best drunk in the first 3-4 years of life. Tel. 707-473-2992

I didn’t care for the 2003 Zinfandel. Although it had some size and tannin, it was rustic and disjointed.It needs to be drunk in its first 3-4 years of life.With all these wines, it must seem like Ed Sbragia must have left Beringer to start his own operation, but he’s still at Beringer, and they would be smart to keep him there given his undeniable talents. He’s been a fixture at Beringer for decades, and it speaks highly of the Beringer brain trust to allow him the flexibility to have his own label.
