Aromas of dried cherries and strawberries with sweet spice, orange peel and moist earth undertones. Medium body. Chalky and firm with powdery tannins and vivid acidity. Slightly chewy at the end. Drink now.

Packaged in its distinctive bright orange label, the Pinino 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is bristling with primary fruit and lots of fresh cherry or raspberry. This wine is mainly focused on easy red fruits and offers an engaging yet very simple drinking experience. Sangiovese's natural acidity makes a good partner to foods featuring mozzarella or baked ricotta. A quick six months of oak is implemented. The style is punchy and fresh, but the mouthfeel is short and lean. Exactly 10,973 bottles were made in this vintage.

The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino opens to ruby luminosity and a lean approach. On the nose, the wine is redolent of redcurrant and dried cranberry, and there is a touch of fruity freshness that is played forward nicely. This Rosso has a palate with sharp contours and a very refreshing, honest drinking style. Production is 12,000 bottles.

Packaged in its distinctive orange-colored label, the Pinino 2018 Rosso di Montalcino is an informal and lean-bodied red to pair with simple home-cooked pasta meals ranging from a fresh basil pesto to tortellini with cream and cheese. The wine offers the bright cherry and cassis aromas to match a fragrant dish like the pesto, and it has the racy acidity to cut through the fat in the tortellini. This cool vintage is especially sharp and fresh. Some 8,000 bottles were produced.
