The 2023 Semillon hails from a gorgeous season in Margaret River. It was long, mild and dry; it never got too hot, and the gentle rains that occurred were few and far between and well timed. Generally, it was regarded as a stellar vintage. We are only just now starting to see some of the wines come onto the market, and it is with great, rollicking anticipation that we receive them. On the nose, there's curry powder and brine, cut grass, green apples, hints of jalape?o and green olive brine. In the mouth, it is ripe and rambunctious, mouthfilling and intense. The acidity is soft and rolling through the back palate, and it overall has a rounded, plump sort of feeling—a gourmand style. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2022 Semillon is pungently grassy on the nose; rich and ample in its outlay of flavor, this shows lemongrass, green apple, nashi pear, bison grass and straw in equal measure. I often see jalape?o in Semillon from Margaret River, and it is here in spades. Powerful in the mouth, this is very ripe and long. I'd like to see some older bottles of this wine, as I do believe it will age well. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The medium-bodied 2019 Semillon features scents of tinned peas and citrus. With a chalky feel and green-apple notes on the finish, it should only improve for the next 4-5 years, then drink well for another 4-5 years after that, perhaps for even longer.

The 2016 Semillon displays complex aromas of paraffin, fig, citrus and wet stone. It's made in a riper style than many Australian Sémillons, showcasing Margaret River's moderate climate, with ample texture and weight yet impeccable balance. The finish is long and nicely textured, eventually coming to a lemony close.

Aged in all stainless steel, the 2015 Semillon possesses notes of lemon curd, fresh hay and beeswax, with hints of dried herbs. Light-bodied, dry and crisp, this Semillon has a nice racy intensity and long, clean finish.
