The Majuelos de Espana offerings include one white wine, the 2010 Soalleiro, a 100% Albarino from the DO of Rias Baixas. The vines were biodynamically farmed (as are all the vineyards involved in the project). The wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel. Mineral, sea salt, lemon meringue, and jasmine notes inform the nose of an Albarino with vibrant acidity, good weight on the palate, and impeccable balance. This medium-long effort will provide enjoyment for another 4-5 years. Majuelos de Espana, headed by Felipe Alvarez, is a negociant group whose grape growers and winemakers are devoted to recovering old Majuelos (Vineyards) across Spain.
