The 2012 Weemala Pinot Gris opens with aromas of fresh nectarines and warm pears followed by suggestions of mace and dill seed. The 2011 Weemala Pinot Gris displays notes of poached pears, apple tart and honeysuckle with a hint of allspice. Dry and light to medium-bodied, the palate lends a nice suggestion of silkiness with a good amount of spicy fruit and a medium-long finish. Drink it now through 2013.
