Largely an equal-part blend of three clones (7, 15, and 412, with 4% Cabernet Franc), the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up scents of dark earth, cedar-bark mulch and cassis. Aged in a mix of French and American oak (one-third new), it's medium to full-bodied and richly textured, finishing velvety and long. No, it's not the most complex or elegant effort, but it's solid, chewy, and flavorful.

Derived primarily from the estate's Spring Mountain property, Keenan's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon includes a dollop of Pope Valley fruit as well. Hints of bay leaf accent cassis and black cherry fruit on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is nicely structured, with firm tannins that turn silky and elegant on the lasting finish.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (100%) opens with tar and tilled soil notions over a cassis, pencil lead and blackberry preserves core with a waft of fried herbs. Medium-bodied, firm and chewy in the mouth, it has just enough black berry and earthy flavors to fill the mid-palate and support the savory finish.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a plums, cassis and baked berries nose with violets, cedar, cigars and earth. The medium to full-bodied mouth is firm and grainy with decent concentration and an earthy finish.

Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and displaying a deep garnet-purple color and nose of expressive blackberries, blueberries and pencil shavings plus lovely dried leaves, rose hip tea and fragrant earth nuances, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is medium to full-bodied in the firm, taut, energetic and lively mouth, with grainy tannins and a long, earthy finish.
