The Garofoli 2016 Rosso Conero Piancarda is a middle-tier wine with accessible fruit aromas and an easy-drinking style that would match pizza or a weeknight pasta dinner in front of the evening news. The wine represents a pure expression of Montepulciano, and the aging regime has been streamlined to just nine months in large oak casks. This hands-off approach in the winery gives you more opportunity to taste the purity of the fruit on hand, with plum, blackberry and black currant. An ample 100,000 bottles were made.
