A certified organic wine, the Ca' Rugate 2020 Soave Classico Monte Fiorentine (made with 90% Garganega and 10% Trebbiano di Soave from volcanic soils and vinified in stainless steel only) opens to a bright and shiny appearance. The wine is redolent of circus, bitter almond, cut grass and wildflower. The wine shows mild intensity and a pretty entry to the palate that ends with wildflowers and chamomile blossom. Some 50,000 bottles were made.

A blend of 90% Garganega with 10% Trebbiano di Soave, the Ca' Rugate 2019 Soave Classico Monte Fiorentine is a fresh and luminous wine with fruit from volcanic soils. This vintage is concentrated with some lingering thickness on the mid-palate. With 50,000 bottles made, the wine promises consistency and freshness. It delivers that with an informal approach that is fueled by peach, poached pear and crushed stone, and it tastes great on a hot afternoon. Some 50,000 bottles were made.

There is a very nice freshness to the 2017 Soave Classico Monte Fiorentine, with good mineral definition. It's easy drinking and snappy, with notes of citrus, white peach and crushed oyster shells. The Monte Fiorentine vineyards are located in the north of the Rugate hills in Brognoligo di Monteforte d'Alpone, a site with soils of volcanic origin and rich in minerals. The vines used for the 2017 vintage are 52 years old. This wine shows tight linearity and natural structure and would be a nice match for a course of clams casino. Some 55,000 bottles were made.
