From a historic plot of dirt in Rutherford, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard features hints of asphalt and black olive on the nose, plus plenty of black cherries. In the mouth, there's a full-bodied, supple, velvety feel, then a long, gently dusty finish. There's plenty of color and concentration here, married to the essential softness of the site, ending with a hint of vanilla.

Notes of scorched coffee, brown sugar and concentrated black cherries appear on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard. From this prized Rutherford vineyard, this is a bold, dark-toned effort, full-bodied and muscular yet velvety, with a rich, chocolate-and-mocha finish.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli Vineyard sports a deep garnet-purple color with exuberant notes of warm black plums, ripe black cherries and baked blackberries with hints of powdered cinnamon, dusty soil, black olives and tree bark. The full-bodied, decadently fruited palate is chock-full of black fruit preserves and baking spice accents, textured with velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering peppery note. 300 cases were made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 100% new French Taransaud, Sylvain and Darnajou barrels. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it has a wonderfully pure, beguiling nose of warm redcurrants, fresh blackberries and crushed blackcurrants with hints of pencil shavings, tilled earth, lavender and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has bags of freshness and spritely red and black fruits, with a grainy texture and provocative lift to the finish. 176 cases produced.

One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli is very deep purple-black in color and opens with very serious notes of blackcurrant cordial, plum preserves, baked cherries and blackberry compote with hints of dried Provence herbs, tobacco leaf and black pepper plus a waft of cedar chest. Big, rich, full and solidly structured with super ripe, grainy tannins and great freshness, it finishes long with a menthol lift. 170 cases produced.
