The 2018 Pandora Grenache has a medium ruby-purple color and alluring aromas of blueberry and red and black cherry jam with tones of powdered sugar, aniseed, orange peel and salami, offering up more aromatic nuances as it airs in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a balance of intense red fruit and savory tobacco tones, its layered flavors calling you in for another sip. Structured with fine, powdery tannins and refreshing bursts of acidity, the long finish is still youthfully coiled. Its density and latency suggest it will evolve in bottle over the next few years and offer savory complexity after a decade or more in the cellar.

The 2017 Pandora Grenache, from Seymour's vineyard in Edna Valley, opens with a classic Grenache kaleidoscope of aromas: crushed tricolored berries, blood orange, licorice, amaro and loads of exotic spices. Full-bodied, the palate bursts with the same energy and is ultra juicy and ultra silky, finishing long and wicked spicy. Even with its characteristic touch of warmth, this Grenache shines as a top example from the new world. 170 cases were made.

The 2015 Pandora, made of 100% Grenache, has a medium ruby color and a nose that blossoms to pretty aromas of cherry coulis, mortadella, pure cranberries and raspberries with nuances of garrigue, lavender, lilac, powdered sugar and citrus. It’s medium-bodied with muscular fruits and loads of flavor layers knit by excellent structure—a great interplay of acid and detailed tannins—finishing very long. This is absolutely gorgeous!

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Pandora Grenache displays a tantalizing perfume of cherry pie, raspberry preserves, rose hip tea, potpourri and cinnamon stick with hints of white pepper, lavender, black olives and underbrush. Full-bodied and laden with red and black fruit coulis and baking spice layers, it has a firm, appealing chew to the texture and wonderfully savory layers coming through on the long finish.
