Bold and peppery, showing blackberry and black cherry flavors, with just the right details of cinnamon, cedar, tobacco, black tea, smoke and vanilla. Vibrant, thick but velvety tannins. Drink now through 2019. 299 cases made. -MW

Fragrant, with pretty cedar and floral notes, this shows bright red fruit flavors of wild strawberry and raspberry, with firm but relatively polished tannins for a Petite. Finishes with a touch of cola. Drink now through 2016. 165 cases made. -MW

Big, rich, thick, showing all the hallmarks of a wine that means business. Very great from a Petite Sirah point of view, massively constructed in blackberries, cherries, blueberries, anise, coffee, cocoa and spices, with firm, rich tannins, and the briary, slightly rustic mouthfeel that characterizes the variety. Dry, hard in tannins and rustic in the way of some youthful Petite Sirahs. If you drink it now, you’ll find plenty of sweet, flashy cherries and raspberries, but the wine will feel hard and astringent. Needs time.
