The finest offering in this expensive portfolio is the 1999 The David, a 300-case blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 22% Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a deep ruby color along with a sweet nose of new saddle leather, black cherry liqueur, berries, and toasty oak, excellent purity, medium to full body, and a savory, nicely textured finish.
